The Red Trace Mystery (F2P)

Search the forest stream for the potion recipe and the hidden hatch.

   At the stump on the left, tap the blue flowers to make them bloom and take the flowers.

   At the leaf pile on the right, take the potion recipe and the lantern and clear the leaves to reveal a skull hatch (it needs another skull).

   Examine the rocks by the fallen log: read Blaze's book and take the red ribbon from Ruby's wreath. Take the twigs at the base of the log.

   Light the inside of the hollow log with the lantern and take vial 1/2.

   Use the twigs on the mushrooms at the stump.

Put one mushroom on each of the eight twigs. Select a mushroom to skewer it and rotate the center ring. A mushroom can be taken off a twig if nothing blocks it.

   Rotate the center ring to bring a free mushroom in line with an empty twig, then skewer it; work around the stump so earlier mushrooms do not block later ones (see the solved image).

   Read the note left on the stump (gather all the potion ingredients in the small chest), then take the small chest and the feathers.

Make a duster, clear the spider web from the tree hollow and use the wicker basket.

   Tie the feathers together with the red ribbon in inventory to make a duster.

   Clear the spider web from the hollow of the big tree on the right bank with the duster. Take the treasures (teddy bear and journal) and the wicker basket.

   Use the basket on the blackberry bush left of the path.

Remove all but one berry. A berry jumps over a neighbor into an empty highlighted space, removing the berry it jumped.

   Work from the outer arms toward the middle so the last jumps converge; finish with one berry. The basket fills with berries.

   Take the deer skull revealed in the bush and vial 2/2 from the bottom of the stream scene.

   Place the skull in the empty lower slot of the hatch under the leaves; the cover lifts to show a magic seal.

Search the teddy bear and journal for the emeralds that open the small chest.

   Open the treasures in inventory: read the journal, take the button from the teddy bear and cut the red thread on its arm with the hairpin to get a brooch.

   Pry the gems out of the brooch with the hairpin to get the emeralds.

   Open the small chest with the emeralds and add the recipe and the flowers to its compartments, then add both vials.

Sort the liquids so each vial holds one color. Pour the top liquid of one vial onto a matching color or into an empty vial.

   Use the two empty vials as buffers: pour off top layers to collect one color at a time until every vial is a single color. The purple potion base is then ready.

Brew the magic potion in the small chest, then pour it on the hatch seal to reveal Blaze's hut.

   Follow the recipe: add the colored candies from the front drawer, then the five red berries from the right drawer, then cut the flowers into the cauldron with the scissors. Take the magic potion.

   Pour the magic potion on the hatch seal; Blaze's hidden hut appears.
