Climb the Cliff

Turn the broken umbrella into a grappling hook and climb the ledge.

  1. Take the broken umbrella from the roots.
  2. Open the umbrella in inventory: remove the lace (keep it) to expose the hook-shaped frame, then tie the cord to it to make a hook with cord.
  3. Throw the hook with cord at the top of the ledge and climb up.

Broken Bridge: Help the Squirrel

The bridge is broken. Help the injured squirrel and gather what you need at the riverbank.

  1. At the riverbank by the floating hat, take the handkerchief (you cannot reach the water yet).
  2. At the termite-eaten tree right of the bridge, read the wolf warning poster and take chest tile 1/2.
  3. Examine the bushes: an injured squirrel and a small box. Pull the thorn out with the tweezers, then bandage the paw with the handkerchief (the lace is too dirty).
  4. Follow the squirrel to the bushes and take the torn net.
  5. Take the shoelace from the old shoe in the left foreground.
  6. Open the torn net in inventory: remove the torn mesh, then repair it with the lace and the shoelace.
  7. Use the net at the riverbank by the hat to start the lobster puzzle.
Puzzle

Lobster Rope Trap

Hexagon board with a few rope hexagons around the red lobster and 8 moves shown on the right
The lobster rope trap at the start. Its layout is random, so yours will differ.

Place rope hexagons so the lobster cannot escape off the board. The lobster moves after each placement; your remaining moves are shown on the right. The game states this puzzle is random.

  1. Because the layout is random, block the lobster's shortest path to the edge first, leaving gaps only where existing rope already blocks it; tighten the ring around it as it moves. You start with 8 rope pieces, and you do not need to use them all.

Chest Portrait Puzzle

Chest lid with a scrambled family portrait in three linked circles
The chest portrait puzzle before any swaps.

Restore the portrait by swapping two pieces of the same shape.

  1. Place both chest tiles on the chest beside the cart.
  2. Swap same-shaped pieces until the family portrait reads, left to right: the man, the girl, the woman.
  3. Take the flute, the bejeweled leaf and the jar.
Walkthrough

Cross the River

Use the termites to fell the tree across the river and open the squirrel's box.

  1. Collect termites from the stump by the bushes with the jar.
  2. Release the termites on the tree right of the bridge; it falls across the river.
  3. Open the squirrel's box in inventory with the bejeweled leaf; inside is Ruby's blue scarf. Take the hairpin and the drawing.
  4. Cross the river on the fallen tree.
